Solve iTunes Error 54

Solve iTunes Error 54

"Hi, I got a problem while I tried to sync with iTunes. It says the unknown error 54. Now I am not capable of using iTunes. What to do? Can I get any help? Thanks in advance for any help."

This error 54 issue has been complained by numerous iPhone owners and they wanted any possible help, which is what this article is about. First, we should understand why this happens.

When & Why iTunes Error 54 Appears

iTunes error 54 appears when the users try to sync their iPhone, iPod or iPad with the help of iTunes. There comes a notification that says: the iPhone cannot be synced. An unknown error occurred (-54). The reason behind this hitch is perhaps the files that the computer or iOS device contains are locked or modified and inaccessible. Also, it also happens when there's no newest iTunes version. Besides, it offer happens when you just updated to Windows 10. There may be the error caused by permission issue. The computer doesn't allow you to modify the data.

1 Update iTunes and iOS to the Latest Version

As discussed above, if iTunes is not of the latest version, the error 54 can occur. Thus, when the iTunes error 54 appears, the primary thing is to make sure that the device and the iTunes have the recent version. Check for the latest update, and update the iTunes and the device to the latest version.

Here is how to update iTunes:

Open iTunes on your computer and click the button Help on the top menu, then tap on Check for Updates.

Here is how to update iOS:

Go to Setting App>General>Software Update, then you will find the latest iOS for your device and you can click Install Now to update it.

2Test What Content Causes the Error

The further step to be taken is the examination of the content that is causing iTunes error 54. To determine this, these things should be done.

Firstly, try syncing content in little quantities. Add little by little and this way will let you discover what content causes the issue.

Secondly, check if the issue is occurring with iTunes store's content. If so, remove the content and re-download it. If iTunes store's content is not the issue, there's a need to delete and re-import the content from the primary source. For example, if it is a song causes the problem, you need delete it and re-import it from CD.

Sometimes, issue also emerges when people attempt transferring iTunes purchases to the computer from iOS. Also, the PDF files that might be in iBooks app or the device can be the reason of the problem. Therefore, first transfer those PDF files to your email address (to save them) and remove it from the device to solve the issue.

3 Run iTunes with Administrator Access

This can fix the iTunes error 54 issue since updating of a file or folder needs permission sometimes and perhaps iTunes is not having the Administrator access. And this could be the reason of error 54. Therefore, running iTunes with Administrator access may end the iTunes error 54 problem. For this, follow the steps below:

First of all, make sure that you have logged into Windows as an administrator.

Right click iTunes icon. Go to "Properties" and after that "Compatibility" tab.

Select "Run the program as an administrator" just below the Settings sub-menu.

Click Compatibility tab and beneath the Compatibility Mode, click "Run this program in compatibility mode for:".

After that choose "Windows 7" and hit "OK" and test iTunes again to see if the problem ends.

5If You Are Using Windows 10

If you are Windows 10 users, there will be a need to change the permissions of iTunes and get the full control over the folder of iTunes. The steps are:

10 really unknown features of iOS 11 which are coming to your iPhone

About couple of months back, Apple showed off a lot of cool new features coming to iOS 11 for iPad,iPhone, and iPod touch at WWDC 2017, but they only just touched the surface of what iOS 11 has to offer and as I always say that can be many reasons for that from which time constraint of the event is on the top.

But wait, if you are satisfied with what Apple has explained about iOS 11 in launch event then you are missing the majority of the cake slice. As iOS 11 has a lot of hidden gems to explore and can be really beneficial when it comes out to your devices in September (as expected).

In this article, we are going to talk about the 10 such features of iOS 11, which will change the way you use your iPhone and interesting part is many of them are unknown to most of us.

Customize control center

This was another big item from our wish list, and it's a good start to customizing the Control Center. In the settings, you can add, remove, and rearrange options in the pull-up menu, but you're limited to Apple apps and services, which means no third-party app integration. Hopefully, this will come in the future, but we're not betting on it.

Airplane Mode, Cellular Data, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AirDrop, Personal Hotspot, Rotation Lock, Do Not Disturb, AirPlay, and the Music controls are all non-customizable, meaning they you can't remove any of them.

The Flashlight Has Another Intensity Option

If you 3D Touch on the flashlight icon in the Control Center, you'll notice that instead of three intensity options (low, medium, high), there's a fourth one. The names have been removed, so you'll just have to guess at what the fourth one is called.

You Can Screen Record Without Your Mac

Hidden in the Control Center's customizable settings, there's a new Screen Recording option. That means you no longer need QuickTime on your computer or some shitty third-party app that doesn't work well (or at all).

Just add the option to your Control Center, then tap on the icon to start recording. If you 3D Touch on it, you can enable the microphone, too. You can turn it off the same way, or via the blue status bar indicator. Then all you have to do is tap on the notification that it was recorded and begin editing out the stuff you don't want.

You Don't Need 3D Touch for Control Center Quick Actions

If you have an iPhone that doesn't come with 3D Touch, you're not left out in the cold again when it comes to quick actions. You can now long press on almost any icon in the Control Center to bring up the same quick actions that 3D Touch users get. This means you can now adjust flashlight intensity, among other things. Unfortunately, this long-press feature for older iPhones is only available in this menu, not on the home screen or elsewhere.

You Can Share Wi-Fi Passwords with Nearby Devices

No more do you have to try and type out long, complicated passwords on your iPhone. Now you can just ask someone already connected to the network to share their password with you over the air — no typing involved. As long as both devices are running iOS 11, it'll work (and macOS High Sierra is even supported).

If you love Balloons and Confetti in your iMessages, you're going to love the new Echo and Spotlight screen effects that the Messages app has in iOS 11. Not much more to say here. Just seem them in action below.Must Read:ios system recovery

Messages Can Be Store in iCloud

Yep, this means that all of your messages on your iPhone can finally really be synced with your messages on your Mac. Previously, it was a big mess, and messages you deleted on your iPhone would not delete on your Mac as well. This is a huge privacy concern, obviously, so this is a nice addition.

You Can Disable In-App Prompts for Ratings & Reviews

While Apple was already readying this new ratings and review system back in iOS 10.3, the system-wide toggle to disable feedback requests inside apps only appears in a few betas here and there. Now, it's back in iOS 11 (hopefully for good).

You Can Scan QR Codes in the Camera App

Say goodbye to all of your QR code apps, because you don't need them anymore. Apple built a QR code scanner right into the Camera app, so all you have to do is point your camera at a QR code and it will prompt you with what to do next, whether it's opening up a link in Safari, adding a number to your contacts, or joining a Wi-Fi network.

You Can Send Android Users Some Live Photos

While sending a regular Live Photo from an iPhone via MMS will still result in a still image for Android users, the Live Photos with Loop or Bounce effects will be sent as MP4 files. Right now, this is pretty buggy, and we had a small success rate, but it's the start of something good.

Recent iPhone 8 reveals the nasty surprise from Apple

We have heard about many things about the Apple new and the biggest launch, iPhone 8. From its design to its price and from the wireless charging to the removal of the fingerprint sensor and more. As per the report published by Forbes, Apple has a nasty surprise in store for potential iPhone 8 owners.

As per the report published by Gordan Kelly, “As it stands most of my sources believe Touch ID will not feature on the iPhone 8 (putting huge pressure on ‘Face ID’), despite suggestions it could be hidden in a curiously enlarged power button. This is also the position backed in a new report from tech-focused equity specialists BlueFin Research Partners.”

"It is our belief at this time that fingerprint sensing will NOT [caps theirs] be included at launch”, states BlueFin. Though it concedes “We are still grappling with the touch ID/fingerprint sensing situation as we continue to uncover mixed messaging."Must Read:an error occurred installing ios 10.3.2

BlueFin even goes so far as to theorize that Touch ID could be included but disabled at launch and unlocked by a software update in future. Apple has precedent for this with the late arrival of Portrait Mode on the iPhone 7 Plus via an iOS upgrade, but that is not on remotely the same scale as Touch ID.Related Read:iMyFone recover deleted text messages iPhone without backup

Interestingly the whole Touch ID dilemma is also thought to be at the heart of significant iPhone 8 production delays which will see only a few million units available in its first month on sale. Touch ID was meant to be integrated under the new OLED display, but Apple hasn’t managed this (just like Samsung failed with both the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy Note 8) and further OLED yield issues have killed initial supply.

And yet BlueFin does deliver good news on this front.

The company says that after the initial bottleneck is overcome, there will be a rapid ramp up of production to 44M iPhone 8 units in Apple’s December-ending Q1 with 30M units planned for each subsequent quarter.

This would be record levels of stock for a single model. And combined with sales of the more incrementaliPhone 7S and iPhone 7S Plus, which will launch alongside it, BlueFin states “build plans for the balance of 2017 and for all of 2018 are at record levels”.

Of course, the iPhone 8 - despite the central role of its dramatically enlarged OLED panel - is much more than a headline grabbing the screen. Fast charging, wireless charging and a new vertically aligned rear dual camera are all coming as well as much much more.

There will also be an eye watering price tag but, given the initial iPhone 8 shortages, I suspect millions will just hope for the chance to buy it at list price as auction prices will be horrendous.
